The Peanut Elevator located on Jefferson Street and Franklin was built during World War II by German Prisoners of War betwenn 1942 and 1945. It was purchased by the Marianna Optimist Club Foundation in the year 2007 as an investment and possible develpoment as offices. The structure has been inspected by Construction Engineers and determined to be sound, and suitable for development.Photo By Don Jones
